Garrett Fong, a proud and dedicated FFA member since high school and now an accomplished agricultural teacher, is set to lead the agricultural education department at Pagosa Springs High School. With a decade of involvement in the National FFA Organization and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education from Colorado State University, Garrett is embarking on a new chapter in his career.
Garrett's vision extends beyond the classroom; he aspires to instill new perspectives in students, guiding them along the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) pathways. His goal is to empower future leaders for careers in the agriculture industry, food processing, or natural resource management, or to simply transform them into informed consumers and active citizens.
Garrett's dedication to FFA is evident in the State Degree he received from the California FFA Association—the highest honor a state can bestow on an FFA member. His college years were marked by receiving the Charles M. Shepardson award, given to one exemplary graduating senior.
Garrett extends an open invitation to anyone with a passion for any of the AFNR pathways to join him in supporting the next generations of leaders in the agriculture industry. He is eager to harness the community's enthusiasm to help students flourish and leave a lasting legacy in the agricultural field. Together, we can cultivate success.
