Week of March 17th, 2025 Special Announcements
*Volleyball Open Gym will be held in the PSHS gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 1st through April 29th, from 6 PM to 8 PM. There will also be a Volleyball Meeting in the Library on March 19th during lunch for those interested in playing in the fall.
*Wrestling Awards Night for boys and girls wrestling is scheduled for Thursday, March 18th at 6:00 pm in the High School Commons. Please put it on your calendar.
*There will be a FBLA meeting for ALL MEMBERS attending the State Leadership Conference on Thursday at lunch in Mrs. Riggs' room.
*There is an FFA Officer interest meeting Monday 3/17. Anyone who is interested in running for FFA Office should be in attendance. In Mr. Fong's Room during lunch. Mr. Fong will be hosting CDE practice after school from 4-6 Mondays and Thursdays After School. Members only are required to practice an hour a week. This will continue till the end of April. FFA end of the year banquet is coming up at the end of April. If you want to check if you will be receiving an award or interested in an award application please talk to Mr. Fong as the deadline is coming up.
*The dental clinic that was scheduled for this week has been postponed till April 22nd, 23rd and 24th. We have received all of the consents for the participating students and cannot accept any more.
*On Tuesday there will be a potluck luncheon for Ruby Sisson Librarian Josie Snow. Please sign up in the library if you want to attend. There is also a card for Josie for you to sign on Mrs. K.'s desk. The Library is closed for regular lunch usage on Tuesday 3/18 and Wednesday 3/19 due to other commitments.

*Message from Mr. Fong: CDE Practices Starting This Week (Mondays, 4:00–7:30 PM)
Open House Practice begins this week! Feel free to stop by the Ag Shop anytime while Mr. Fong is in the room. Stay for as long as you like. Remember, you need 7 hours of in-person practice to qualify for the State Contest in April. Everyone is welcome—come practice for your team or explore a new contest.
*December 2nd is the next installment of Book Club. Meet in the library during lunch to talk about the Book Thief and find out what the next grand adventure will be.
*The yearbook staff has an assignment to take pictures throughout the day from December 2nd to December 13th to capture candid moments for the yearbook. Mrs. K. has asked that they be allowed to use their phones in class for this purpose only. Be prepared to be caught on camera! The staff plans to schedule a day with Griz to get any portraits of seniors or underclassmen who did not submit photos or make either of the school-planned picture days.

*Girls basketball begins today, Monday Nov. 18th. Practice begins at 4:00pm sharp in the gym. Please make sure all your paperwork and physicals are complete in Big Teams!
*Boys basketball tryouts will start Monday at 6:15pm. The practice will start at the time, make sure to arrive early around 6.

*Message from Mrs. Kubelka: Please be conservation minded and pick up any papers that you send to the library for printing in a timely manner. Right now there are many stacks of papers crying because they have been abandoned. Also please make sure to come to me if your document doesn't print the first time so she can troubleshoot the situation rather than multiples being printed once a problem is fixed.

Please bring the old tray back to reduce trash. Any roughhousing, pushing or foul language in the lunch line will result in offenders being asked to go to the end of the line and be served last. Any subsequent offenses will be referred to the office.
*Juniors, We are offering the PSAT/NMSQT on October 14th. The PSAT/NMSQT is the test that qualifies you for the National Merit Scholarship Program. If you are interested in testing, we have 25 spots. Check your email for the registration link or stop by the counseling center. The deadline to register is September 22nd.
*Yearbooks are on sale! The price for September is $45 and it will go up as the year goes on, so buy your yearbook now. The yearbook staff also wants your help in making this year's volume awesome. Send your pictures via Walsworth SNAP app. To get the app, download it from your app store on your phone. The code for the app is PagosaYearbook25. Then throughout the year remember to upload your pictures to it. You can also email them to [email protected].
