Week of November 18th, 2024 Special Announcements
*Girls basketball begins today, Monday Nov. 18th. Practice begins at 4:00pm sharp in the gym. Please make sure all your paperwork and physicals are complete in Big Teams!
*Boys basketball tryouts will start Monday at 6:15pm. The practice will start at the time, make sure to arrive early around 6.
*Wrestling practice will begin Monday, Nov. 18th from 4:00 - 5:45 and continue throughout the week. If you do not have your paperwork completed you should still attend to watch and listen. If there are conflicts see Coach Janowsky.
*There is a mandatory NAHS meeting on Monday in Mrs. Kelly's classroom.
*Speech & Debate will have an organizational meeting on Tuesday, November 19th at 4:00pm in the Commons. We will discuss our regular meeting schedule and plan for a Spring Tournament. All questions are welcome at that time.
*FFA meeting Nov. 21 - Turkey bowling. Come try your luck at bowling with a frozen turkey at our second meeting this month. For every can of food you bring gives you one chance to play. Meeting is in Mr. Fong's class in the D building during lunch.
*Auditions for Wizard of Oz will be Dec. 11-12 starting at 4:00 pm. Sign ups will be available after our Audition Workshop and outside the Auditorium anytime before the audition days. Crew/Tech sign up forms will be available as well.
Your audition requirements:
Monologue - Prepare a 30 second monologue
Song - Prepare a 30-90 second song
Dance - Learn 30-60 second provided dance

*Yearbook: Seniors - please get your yearbook information in ASAP so we can fill in the designated spaces in the yearbook with the pictures and words you took the time to choose rather than rush to think of. Also make sure your parent(s)/guardians have their wishes in before it is too late. We need your senior picture, baby picture (optional), beloved quote, favorite song, and parent wishes (optional) preferably before Thanksgiving Break next week. All - If you want your preferred name with your picture in the yearbook, please make sure to fill out the Google Form we sent in an email last week. If you do not do so by Thanksgiving Break, then we will be using the legal name registered in Infinite Campus. Also make sure to buy your yearbook before the price is raised again. We will be learning the dance steps that will be required when auditioning.

*Message from Mrs. Kubelka: Please be conservation minded and pick up any papers that you send to the library for printing in a timely manner. Right now there are many stacks of papers crying because they have been abandoned. Also please make sure to come to me if your document doesn't print the first time so she can troubleshoot the situation rather than multiples being printed once a problem is fixed.
*This is the last full week to buy your yearbook at $45. On October 1st it goes up to $50. Head to yearbookforever.com to get yours before it's too late to get the lowest price of the year. Also make sure to download the Walsworth SNAP app and send us your pictures from school-related events.

*A 2nd trip through the lunch line is not permitted. If you want a second portion you need to request 2nd from Miss Letty after all students are served. Please bring the old tray back to reduce trash. Any roughhousing, pushing or foul language in the lunch line will result in offenders being asked to go to the end of the line and be served last. Any subsequent offenses will be referred to the office.
*Juniors, We are offering the PSAT/NMSQT on October 14th. The PSAT/NMSQT is the test that qualifies you for the National Merit Scholarship Program. If you are interested in testing, we have 25 spots. Check your email for the registration link or stop by the counseling center. The deadline to register is September 22nd.
*Yearbooks are on sale! The price for September is $45 and it will go up as the year goes on, so buy your yearbook now. The yearbook staff also wants your help in making this year's volume awesome. Send your pictures via Walsworth SNAP app. To get the app, download it from your app store on your phone. The code for the app is PagosaYearbook25. Then throughout the year remember to upload your pictures to it. You can also email them to [email protected].
