PREREQUISITE: NONE

This course is designed to introduce students to the basic elements and principles of art and design. Students will engage in activities covering a different mediums and styles with a strong focus on drawing, the foundation of two dimensional design. Students will also learn the basic science behind drawing and the specific brain functions it activates. Students will engage creatively and diligently in each assigned activity. Students will also engage in creative self-expression that is constructive and grounded in knowledge of the elements and principles of art and design.
