World Geography is the study of the distribution and interaction of the physical and human features on the earth. Students learn how to use and construct maps, globes, and other geographic tools to locate and derive information about people, places, and environments. Students also learn about the physical and human characteristics of places. Gaining knowledge of the understanding of how physical processes shape the Earth's surface is another goal of the course. Helping students acquire the skills and to apply knowledge of people, places, and environments to understand the past and present and to plan for the future is also an essential learning for this course.
