School to Work Placement is cooperative arrangement between Pagosa Springs High School (PSHS) and several community employers. The program provides the student with on the job experiences beyond those offered in the classroom and permits the student to explore different occupations before making a career choice. The student will work with the PSHS Career & Technical Department from a prescribed list of choices to decide upon a business. They will then apply and interview for the position. After an initial 1-2 weeks in the classroom students will meet once a week to enhance job skills and to work on their work based action plan. THERE IS NO FINANCIAL REMUNERATION FOR THE WORK EXPERIENCE. THE STUDENT'S GRADE IS THEIR PAY.
