Students will learn basic accounting concepts including the accounting equation, debits and credits, and the accounting cycle. The course includes the complete accounting cycle for both a service and a merchandising business. This includes analyzing changes caused by business transactions, journalizing, posting, preparing financial statements, and closing the books. There will be work with payroll records, taxes, and reports. This course is designed for students having a variety of career objectives.
