COURSE NAME: ART 2/3

PREREQUISITE: “B” OR BETTER IN ART 1, (2)

This course is a continuation of Art 1. Students will continue to develop their drawing skills as well as gain an understanding of color application predominantly through acrylic paints. Students will learn to critique art work using the principles and elements of design. This course is designed to give students an understanding of the historical framework of art. Students will engage in artistic exploration that reflects upon themselves, and engage in activities that help define their aesthetic. While participating in advanced figure studies and learning advanced techniques, students will be exposed to a variety of approaches and styles of art making.
