COURSE NAME: GLOBAL SCIENCE

PREREQUISITE: INTEGRATED SCIENCE 1 OR PHYSICAL SCIENCE, AND BIOLOGY 1

Global Science is the study of how individuals and societies use Earth's resources and affect the environment to satisfy human needs and wants. Global science is designed for students who are interested in natural resources and environmental issues. You will gather and analyze data related to current natural resource issues and then create relevant products that incorporate conclusions from your data (write a grant, feasibility study, management proposal). The results from one of your studies will be presented to a community audience. You will also collect data for an on-going water quality and river stability study. You can look forward to collecting data outside as well as learning from natural resource professionals in our community.
