Yearbook senior picture deadline is two weeks away, October 25.  Turn in your senior picture, quote, baby picture and parent wishes anytime before then. 

 

Announcements:

 

Today is the last day for those who qualified last year for free and reduced meals to use that qualification for this school year. This program requires the students to reapply every year. We no longer can reverse charges for those that get charged in the gap between today and when they turn in paperwork.

Use your graduation information packet that was handed out at school, filled with ordering info to turn in your graduation order. Extra packets are available, in the main office. Or you can order online at www.jostens.com. *Please bring a $60 deposit on order day and keep in mind you will have all school year to make payments.

Picture retakes are this Thursday, stop by the office to get an order form. If you are unhappy with the 1st round of your photos, you need to bring back the old packet to get a new packet. 

 

The Music Department's Fall Concert is this Thursday, November 7th at 7:00 PM in the auditorium. The concert is free and features all of our vocal and instrumental performing groups.

Today is the official 1st day of Winter Sports practice. Hopefully you have updated and completed all forms on PlanetHS. If not, do so ASAP as you are not allowed to practice or play without those forms submitted!

If you took the ASVAB exam in October, your results are in.  Please see the registrar, Mrs. Freed, to get your score report.

 

Fort Lewis is returning for another Free Application Day on November 18th from 1:30- 3pm. They will give you your acceptance decision on the spot.  If you want to apply or if you have already been accepted and have questions, sign up for an appointment in the counseling center.

Attention all track athletes and volleyball players!  Mrs. O'Donnell will be placing an order for spandex and tights and shorts with the school logo.  Track athletes are responsible for purchasing their own uniform bottoms. If you are running track this year and need to place an order, please come see me for pricing and details.  I will be placing the order on the 23rd.

If you want to get through the line faster, have infinite campus pulled up on your phone. The theme this year is LET’S GLOW. It is casual dress but feel free to go above and beyond with your bright colors to show off under the black lights. This dance is Sadie Hawkins style (girls ask guys).

In support of raising awareness for Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month wear orange tomorrow, February 11th, for National Wear Orange for Love Day. You will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

 

Fitness for Life after school at 3:45 in the weightroom. Monday-Thursday. 

 

Matilda rehearsals from 6-8:30pm Monday- Thursday

 

Seniors-

It’s time to pick up your graduation announcements and/or order your cap and gown if you haven’t already.

Jostens will be on campus this coming Thursday Feb. 13th from 7:30-9:30, to deliver your graduation announcements.

If you still need to order, you can order with your Jostens team on Thursday Feb. 13th from 7:30-9:30 or you can order online at www.jostens.com or by calling 1-800-JOSTENS.

If you still need to order your PSHS class ring or letterman jacket you can also do that this Thursday. 

Your cap and gown will be handed out at school closer to graduation.

 

Juniors and Sophmores-

Jostens will be on campus to deliver your PSHS class ring and letterman jackets this coming Thursday Feb. 13th from 7:30-9:30, on campus.

If you still would like to order your class ring or letterman jacket you can do so this Thursday, while your Jostens team is on campus.

 

Counselor’s Announcements

The Admissions Counselor from Colorado Mesa University (in Grand Junction) will be here Wednesday, March 11, at 8:45.  If you are interested in that school, sign up in the counseling center.

 

There is a new local scholarship that has just arrived: Lawrence J. Shock Memorial Scholarship.  It is $1,000 and available to all seniors who are attending any college.

All sports practices start today.   Track Athletes meet in the lower bus lobby dressed and ready to run outside at 4:00pm.

 

The Pagosa Springs High School Mountain Bike Club will be meeting this Wednesday, March 4th in Room B15 during lunch.  This meeting is open to anyone who likes to ride mountain bikes!

 

If you love the dances, pep rallies, and other fun activities at the schools and have always wished you could help make the magic happen, you want to check out  Student Council. Lunch meetings are every Tuesday in Ms. Riggs' room B20. They are open to all students. If you want to run for student council next year or just want to check out what we do, please come and see what it's all about!
